SIFMA, the Association of Mortgage Investors and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts provided comments to the FHFA on FHFA Front End CRT RFI. This letter expresses the core shared views of the industry associations, namely that (1) FHFA not pick a winner among the various forms of CRT, (2) that FHFA work to ensure a level playing field, and (3) that improvements should be made to transparency of CRT and its economics.
