HIGHLIGHTS

Ryan and ShiThe Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA) and the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (NAFMII) were pleased to jointly host the China Securities Summit, Insight on the Development of the Capital Markets in China. The event took place on 15 September 2011 in New York City.

The summit served as an opportunity for international cooperation and learning between the United States and China. Summit participants from the U.S., China and other countries around the globe heard from notable guest speakers as they discussed topics including developments in the Chinese bond and derivatives market, the further development of sophisticated risk control systems in a rapidly changing market environment, the internationalization of the Chinese markets, and the opportunities institutional investors have to participate in China's economy.

GFMA and NAFMII look forward to working together again to continue this informative learning process at the end of October as the associations hold a reciprocal summit in Beijing.
