The Asset Managers Forum of SIFMA believes that a knowledgeable staff is a valuable staff
and that is why the AMF has teamed up with the Global Financial Markets Institute to offer
securities industry professionals a series of training classes. The purpose of these training
classes is to provide financial services professionals with an overview of the markets and asset
classes that they support in their daily jobs through professional instruction.

 

The Asset Managers Forum

The Asset Managers Forum (the “Forum”) is the operations oriented affiliate of the Asset Management Group (“AMG”) of SIFMA. The AMF was formed in 1997 by securities processing professionals at major asset management firms. The Forum is a response to a longstanding need on the Street; namely, the opportunity for buy side, sell side and custodian bank professionals to jointly pursue the development of industry-wide processing and operations best practices, mutual challenges such as STP, Fails and Corporate Actions, and development of processes for new products such as OTC derivatives. While the AMG remains focused on broad policy matters, the AMF is focused on nuts-and-bolts operations matters.

Global Financial Markets Institute

Global Financial Markets Institute is an international financial training provider of courses in Capital Markets, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Options, Swaps, Equity, Portfolio and Risk Management, among other topics. We have partnered with financial institutions, both large and small, worldwide, delivering custom designed capital markets and derivatives training programs. Global Financial Markets Institute, Inc. is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.

 

The Ultimate Training Class Series

The AMF has arranged a series of monthly training classes over a 6-month period beginning in
September 2 007. Each class is distinct, with its focus on a different aspect of the marketplace
or asset class. These classes are introductory classes - individuals or groups from firms may
sign-up for one class at a time or for the entire series. The discount benefit of the series is that
you will get one class free.
