The AMF Derivatives Operations Committee represents the buy side and focuses on the key operational challenges related to OTC derivatives that affect asset managers including introduction of central clearing counterparties. The Committee seeks improvements in the derivatives processing environment and strives to identify opportunities to reduce related operational risks. The Committee works with CCPs, dealers, utilities, vendors and service providers to streamline and automate the derivatives processing environment and to educate its members on the various automation possibilities and industry commitments. The Committee is co-chaired by Ila Eckhoff of BlackRock, Lara Gilman of Fidelity Investments, Michaela Ludbrook of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Neil Wright of State Street.
The AMF Derivatives Operations Committee created a CCP Offering Matrix to help asset managers compare and contrast information from various derivatives central clearing providers. The Matrix covers the following Central Counterparty Platforms: ICE US, Ice Clear Europe, CME for credit, CME for rates, LCH SCM, LCH US model, IDCG, and Eurex Clearing Credit, Interest, and Equity Clear. The purpose of this matrix is to help asset managers navigate the new derivatives clearing environment as clearing becomes mandatory. The matrix describes the offering of each platform, and provides answers to buy side clearing questions that were developed by the AMF Derivatives Operations Committee. The questions are grouped into product offering, offering status, trade procedures, systems, pricing, risk, margin/collateral, market/credit events, default process, legal, membership and additional questions.

The AMF Derivatives Operations Committee would like to thank Sam Ely of Capco for his effort in helping to pull together the information in the matrix.
