AFME/ESSF is delighted to announce their third Annual Clearing & Settlement Conference on 29th April 2010 in London. Building on our previous highly successful conferences in the post-trading area, this year the event will focus on three main industry developments:
Central Counterparty Clearing: Market infrastructures, regulators and users give their views on:
- how to increase the availability of CCPs and products cleared
- ensuring interoperability and thus competition between CCPs
- maintaining robust risk management
Securities Law Reform: Market infrastructures, regulators and users give input on the key issues to be addressed by the upcoming European Commission proposals for an EU wide legal framework for securities holding and disposition
Harmonisation of Settlement Cycles: Market Infrastructures, regulators and users give their views on creating the conditions for shortening settlement cycles, including:
- same day affirmation
- trade date matching
- standardised fails management regimes
- aligned securities lending processes
